Eugene Ely was a legendary pilot whose measured approach and calculated demonstrations of the potential of military aviation ultimately pointed the way to today’s modern aircraft carrier. LaVerne Woods and Dave Zobel will discuss Ely's amazing life as chronicled in the book, Eugene Ely: Pioneer of Naval Aviation. The book is available for purchase online and in the Museum Store.
