On the first Thursday of each month, the Museum stays open late – and admission is FREE.
Enjoy the Museum’s Great Gallery, Personal Courage Wing, Simonyi Space Gallery, Aviation Pavilion and more from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Museum Store and Café also remain open for extended hours.
Each month, we host local aerospace and technology organizations to:
- Share their resources and services
- Showcase their cutting edge technologies and 21st century skills
- Provide innovative and interactive hands-on experiences.
In addition, we offer opportunities for visitors and families to engage with:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience aerospace topics in fun and surprising ways with our popular family workshops.
Reservations are not required. Arrive anytime* between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. *If you arrive before 5:00 PM, you will need to purchase admission.
Rescheduling Notice
Due to the New Year’s Day holiday falling on the first Thursday in January, the Museum has rescheduled January’s Free First Thursday to Thursday, January 15.
The Museum will not say open late on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
This will allow our staff and volunteers the ability to celebrate the holiday and spend time with family and friends. Reservations are not required.
