What if a middle school science teacher was humanity's last hope? That's the premise Andy Weir brought to life in Project Hail Mary – and it's a message at the heart of Challenger Center's mission: to change the world and improve the future through STEM education.

Weir will answer pre-submitted questions from organizations with Challenger Learning Centers across the country, including one from The Museum of Flight, during a live webinar with the President of the Challenger Center, Mike Kincaid.

Don’t miss your chance to witness this rare, private conversation exploring themes such as why Weir chose a teacher as the protagonist of Project Hail Mary, how storytelling can make science accessible and more!

About Challenger Center

The Space Shuttle Challenger crew was dedicated to a mission inspired by education. In 1986, the families of the crew established Challenger Center as a way to honor their loved ones while keeping their educational mission alive.

The Museum of Flight's Challenger Learning Center (CLC) opened in 1992, contributing to the 6.5+ million students who have experienced the Challenger Center's hands-on STEM learning opportunities nationwide. Participants of Museum CLC programs are challenged by realistic simulated space missions using hands-on and inquiry-based activities in the areas of teamwork, communication, problem-solving and critical thinking.
