Meet and talk with The Boeing Employees Amateur Radio Society (BEARS) ham radio operators and see what the Amateur Radio Service is all about.
This annual event, called "Field Day", ends "Amateur Radio Week" sponsored by the ARRL, The National Association for Amateur Radio. Using only emergency power supplies, ham operators will construct emergency stations throughout the country to demonstrate the usefulness of radio for communication during a crisis.
Conditions permitting, visitors can get on the air to experience ham radio for themselves.
