Join us for a captivating evening as we welcome Gary Powers, Jr., son of U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers. Gary, an esteemed lecturer, author, and Cold War historian, will shed light on the historic U-2 Incident of 1960 and his father's legacy during the Cold War. Drawing from his acclaimed books, Spy Pilot, Letters from a Soviet Prison, and Enemy Territory, Gary will dispel myths about his father after his plane was shot down over the Soviet Union in 1960 and Gary's search for the truth surrounding his father's death in 1977.

The presentation will feature a compelling discussion of the U-2 Incident and Gary's role as a consultant on Steven Spielberg's 2015 film, Bridge of Spies (rated PG-13), followed by a screening of the film. After the screening, there will be a brief Q&A session before the evening concludes with a book signing with Gary. Gary will be selling copies of Spy Pilot during the event*.
