This unique course provides the opportunity for rising 9th-12th grade students* to explore the world of aviation while creating a base of aeronautical knowledge that pilots need to successfully pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) private pilot exam.
*Because this is a public school class, we are only able to serve residents of Washington state.

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
*No school Thursday, July 4 or Friday, July 5 in celebration of Independence Day holiday. A final exam will be administered on the last day, July 22. Students must be in attendance the entire day.
To earn the 0.5 high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) credit, students cannot miss more than two days of class.
Your instructor will be a licensed pilot and educator who will engage you in hands-on learning in The Museum of Flight’s state-of-the-art simulator lab and through team projects. You will meet fascinating professionals in the aviation industry and take field trips to local aviation and aerospace companies. You will build a foundation in aviation that will help you excel regardless of the career pathway you choose to pursue.
Learning will take place on the campus of the world-renowned Museum of Flight at Boeing Field, which is often referred to as “the Smithsonian of the West." An incredible collection of aircraft, spacecraft, galleries, exhibits, facts and stories that embody the past, present and future of flight will make this summer program memorable for a lifetime. Part of your experience will include classroom instruction at Raisbeck Aviation High School, a nationally recognized STEM school, which is also located on the campus of The Museum of Flight.
