ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to an exciting multi-year building improvement project, we are currently closed to onsite researchers and have limited our ability to accommodate physical access to our collections. We are also limiting our acceptance of artifact, archival, and library donations during this time.
We will do our best to assist with research inquiries remotely and will continue to respond as we are able, providing information and digital resources where possible. However, some materials may be inaccessible, and response times may be slower than usual.
In the meantime, we invite and encourage you to explore the Museum of Flight Digital Collections, which provides access to archival, library, and object collections from The Museum of Flight’s holdings.
For donation offers, we will contact you if your material currently fits within our limited collecting scope. For donation inquiries that fall outside our current collecting scope, we encourage you to visit the American Alliance of Museums website to locate another museum that may be able to assist.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as this work progresses and we work toward this exciting next chapter. We look forward to welcoming researchers back, expanding access to our collections, and sharing more about our collecting opportunities when the project is complete.
