“The most difficult thing is the decision to act; the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward." -Amelia Earhart
Amelia’s Aero Club (AAC) is an educational initiative of The Museum of Flight designed to inspire and nurture middle school girls from across Washington State in the exploration of STEA2M: Science, Technology, Engineering, Aviation, Art, & Mathematics.
The museum has planned around the health and safety of our students, staff, and volunteers. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of Amelia's Aero Club will connect families to aviation solely through online programming.

Special? Yes, and tailored just for you! Amelia’s Aero Club welcomes all young women and gender expression (queer, femme, or gender non-binary) to the field of aviation! Targeting middle school students, we work to inspire, nurture, and network young ladies into an enthused group of women eager to help guide their next steps! The club hosts online personal growth workshops and rousing hands-on activities in STEA2M topics to build confidence, and community, and pay tribute to history!
Activities are online and include:
- Glo uP Aviatrix
It all started with a dream, a goal, and a transformation! Your greatness comes from the will to do extraordinary things—reaching and reaching again! Come for an hour of sisterhood; lean in to absorb tips, tricks, and challenges of those you admire as they continually push/ed boundaries! Don’t miss out! Sometimes who you know matters! #squadgoals - Lashes N' Lab Coats
In an effort to support and build a diverse generation of professionals, this session connects you to a reflective network of women who inspire girls to consider a future in STEM. Your host will pay tribute to history, share their story, and simulate their role and/or a concept within their field.
We also invite parents/guardians to join in our monthly online scholar support seminars, Family Talks, add to your toolkit, and grow your network with a few of our friends! These monthly seminars will cover everything from admission to post-secondary institutions and supporting your scholar with online learning to facts about financial aid and scholarships, and additional aviation and STEM resources. We look forward to answering your questions and helping you navigate the next steps for your scholar!
