SEATTLE, Aug. 21, 2026—On Sept. 12, “The Space Gal,” Emily Calandrelli, presents a science show with experiments from her #1 New York Times bestselling book, Stay Curious and Keep Exploring. Calandrelli is the 100th woman to fly to space, and an MIT engineer turned Emmy-nominated science TV host. Her family-friendly 45-minute Emily’s Science Lab LIVE is an entertaining discovery dive into STEAM concepts in the world around us.
At 11 a.m., Caladrelli will unpack the surprising science behind magnetic space slime, unpoppable bubbles, and alien hovercrafts. A book signing follows the show, and please note that Caladrelli will only sign copies of her book that were purchased from the Museum Store. The program is free with admission to the Museum. Limited seating opens at 10:30 a.m., the show begins at 11 a.m.
Across books and television, Emily Calandrelli has built a career making science exciting, accessible, and empowering for young audiences. She is the author of Reach for the Stars and the Ada Lace Adventures series, and the host and co-executive producer of Netflix’s Emily’s Wonder Lab. She has also appeared as a correspondent on Netflix’s Bill Nye Saves the World and serves as executive producer and host of FOX’s Xploration Outer Space.
