SEATTLE, Oct. 21, 2025—On Sunday Oct. 26 the spirits of Halloween and Dia de Muertos merge, and The Museum of Flight becomes The Museum of Fright. It will be a day of costumes and family games, workshops and scary stories, plus screenings of The Addams Family (1991 feature film), a crazy science show by the Mad Scientists, and live concerts by the ever popular 8-Bit Brass Band. The traditions of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) are also celebrated with a community ofrenda.

Special events will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and all are included with general admission. Kids 17 and under wearing a costume will receive free Museum admission for the day (costume discount not available online).

Schedule

Day of the Dead Community Ofrenda 

10 a.m. to noon; 1 to 4 p.m.

The Museum’s Community Ofrenda will honor those who have passed and in celebration of Día de Muertos. Visitors can color their own sugar skull, create a "Papel Picado" and learn about Latinos/as/es in aerospace.

Screenings of the 1991 feature film starring Angelica Huston and Raul Julia.

Spooky World War II Stories

11 a.m.; 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Gather inside the dark old Quonset Hut and hear scary war stories.

8-Bit Brass Band

11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Lovingly loud in sound and costume, the popular band will entertain with two live performances.11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Mad Scientists Show

1 - 2 p.m.

Kids will be enthralled by the mad scientists and their spooky science demonstrations.
