Feel the force at The Museum Of Flight on October 11

SEATTLE, Oct. 3, 2014--The Museum of Flight offers a not-so-far-away galaxy of family Star Wars fun all day, Oct. 11 when it hosts Star Wars Reads Day III. The 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. event includes programs, activities, arts and crafts, and giveaways for all ages. The 21+ Docking Bay 94 Costume and Dance Party caps the events from 6 to 9 p.m. Star Wars Reads Day is a worldwide event celebrating reading and Star Wars. The Museum's celestial dance party will serve up drinks, music and activities next to the NASA Space Shuttle Trainer in the Charles Simonyi Space Gallery. The Star Wars Reads Day events are free with admission to the Museum. The after-hours Docking Bay 94 Dance Party is $10; tickets at the door or available at Museumtix online. Costumes are encouraged at all of the events.

Participating publishers include Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, Disney Book Group, DK, Klutz, Quirk Books, Random House Audio, Scholastic, and Workman Publishing.

Star Wars Reads Schedule
10-10:30 a.m. - Death Star Ground School (Ages 7-10)
10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Wookie's Workshop make-and-take activities
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Storytime with Ewoks reading activities
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Death Star Ground School (Ages 14+)
2 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Death Star Ground School (Ages 11-13)
2:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. - The Empire Writes Back writing contest winners announced in Allen Theater
5-5:30 p.m. - Group photo with costumed visitors and volunteers
6-8 p.m. - Docking Bay 94 Dance Party (Ages 21+)
