As a non-profit organization, The Museum of Flight relies on our volunteers to provide a quality experience for our guests and help with Museum operations. New volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation held every month, and additional training may be required for specific volunteer assignments. Active volunteers are asked to record a minimum of 8 hours per month throughout the year.
Once an initial offer of volunteer status has been made, a background check, including criminal record history, will be conducted for those over 18 years of age. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude someone from volunteering but will be considered in determining the applicant's suitability for the assignment.
If we cannot immediately place you in a volunteer position, your application will be kept on file for future opportunities.
