SEATTLE, May 28, 2020—On May 30 at 11:30 a.m. PDT the Museum will host a live online launch party for the rescheduled launch of NASA SpaceX Demo-2. The Museum’s Adjunct Curator for Space History, Geoff Nunn, will be joined by retired 4-time astronaut Wendy Lawrence and spaceflight propulsion engineer Dr. Dieter M. Zube, to provide commentary, discussion and answer viewers' questions during the broadcast on YouTube. The same Museum team hosted an immensely popular party for the Demo-2 launch that was scrubbed on Wednesday.

NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission is scheduled to launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on May 30 at 12:22 p.m. PDT. This first crewed flight of the Crew Dragon capsule, with NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley aboard, is set to demonstrate SpaceX's ability to fly astronauts safely to and from the International Space Station.
