--
Recently recovered artifacts from NASA's Apollo 12 and Apollo 16 missions to the Moon will be featured in a new exibit in early 2017. Seattle-based Bezos Expeditions recovered the historic engines from the sea in 2013. They were under conservation at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. At the request of the Bezos Expeditions team, NASA has given the artifacts to the Museum for permanent display in Seattle.
The injector plate (shown) from Apollo 12's #3 engine will be on display through January 4 2017 as a preview for the upcoming exhibit, which will feature this and other components from the massive F-1 engines that powered Apollo 12 and Apollo16.
