The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park is now open at The Museum of Flight - see it today!
A Place of Honor
One of The Museum of Flight’s largest and most iconic aircraft, the Boeing B-52G Stratofortress 59-2584 Midnight Express, has been lost in plain sight for the past 28 years. This veteran warbird has been restored to its former glory and now has a new home in a place of honor on the Museum’s campus behind the Aviation Pavilion. Visitors can reflect upon the B-52 and the nearly 8,000 other U.S. military aircraft lost during Vietnam.
In addition to the veteran B-52, the Memorial Park also features a statue depicting a returning aviator and five military branch flags to honor the veterans who served in all military branches between 1955 and 1975.
