Seattle, Oct. 28, 2025--With free performances on Nov. 6 at 5:30 and 7 p.m. the performance group Living Voices honors the Native experience from government boarding schools to the Navajo Code Talkers of World War II, as told by a young Navajo girl working to keep her culture in the face of prejudice and a changing world. The shows will be performed by Native American actor and artist Lori Tapahonso and was developed in partnership with Chinle (AZ) Unified School District and Navajo Nation community advisors. Living Voices uses a combination of live performance and archival film to bring history alive for all audiences.

This event is part of the Museum’s Free First Thursday, sponsored by Delta Airlines, when the Museum’s Great Gallery, Personal Courage Wing, Simonyi Space Gallery, Aviation Pavilion and more are open with free admission from 5-9 p.m. The Museum Store and Café also remain open for extended hours.
