SEATTLE, May 15, 2022—Doc, one of only two World War II B-29 bombers still flying, arrives at the Museum May 17 at 2:30 p.m., with a flight for the media at 3:45 p.m. The plane will be based at the Museum for public rides and tours May 19-22. This will be the first time the Wichita-based Superfortress has been to The Museum of Flight.
May 17 Schedule
2:30 p.m. - Aircraft arrives at Boeing Field, taxis to Museum. Passengers deplane.
3:15 p.m. - Passenger briefing for the media flight.
3:45 p.m. - Media flight departs.
4:15 p.m. - Media flight lands.

The visit is part of the “B-29 Doc History Restored Tour.” After the plane’s arrival at the Museum, it will remain on-site for routine maintenance and crew changes until May 19, when public tours and flights begin.
Public ground and cockpit tours will be available May 19-20 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on May 21- 22, from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rides in the plane will be during the mornings of May 21-22, and are sold out as of this writing, but additional flights might be added--for updates check www.b29doc.com/rides
