Health Plan
Our enriched PPO health plan pays for 99% of monthly medical, dental, and vision premiums and 65% of the monthly premiums for employee dependents.
Life and Disability Insurance
Our life and disability insurance plan pays for 100% of monthly premiums for life, short-term disability, accidental death & dismemberment, and business travel insurance.
403B – Pre-tax Deductions from Pay
Our employees can immediately participate in the tax-shelter plan's voluntary portion. The museum also offers a company-matching portion, available after one year of employment, with a minimum of 1,000 hours worked.
The employee must contribute to the plan to participate in the company matching plan of 2% plus 0.05% for each year of service, which is taken as a pre-tax deduction from pay. The company then matches by contributing 4% plus 0.1% for each year of service.
Employees may contribute up to 100% of their pre-tax compensation to a 403(b), up to the annual IRS maximum.
Time Off & Holidays
In their first year of employment, our employees may accrue a minimum of (10) days of paid vacation and (10) days of paid sick leave per year. The Museum of Flight observes (9) holidays, and employees receive (2) floating holidays.
