Early Morning Exhibit Tours
These uniquely-themed, docent-led tours take place before the Museum opens! Even if you've visited these galleries before, chances are you've never experienced them like you will on these special tours!
Tuesday, July 2: "Pioneers of Early Aviation"-Meet those who made giant leaps in aviation: dreamers like Leonardo Da Vinci, inventors like the Wright brothers, and doers like Bill Boeing.
Tuesday, July 9: :Amelia Earhart"-Follow famed aviator Amelia Earhart on her flights around the country and world and learn about the women who opened the skies for their sisters in this tour of the Great Gallery
Tuesday, July 30 (SOLD OUT): "Jetting to the Moon"-Before we landed on the moon, NASA's Rocket Plane program pushed the boundaries of both Earth's atmosphere and human endurance. Learn about these experimental aircraft on this unique tour of the Aviation Pavilion.
Thursday, August 1: "Vietnam Divided-Air War Above Southeast Asia"-Investigate the complicated causes of the Vietnam War and learn the stories of the people who flew the planes in the Great Gallery's Vietnam exhibit.
Thursday, August 22: "WASP"-Women in WWII flew military aircraft for the United States, delivering them from factories to the armed forces...before their program was shut down and classified for 35 years. Learn about these trailblazing pilots in our Personal Courage Wing.
Tours take place 9:30am-10:00am, but docents are happy to hang around until 10:30 for those wanting to ask questions and learn more. After the tour you're free to continue exploring the Museum on your own!

Collections Tours
Have you ever wanted to go "behind the scenes" here at The Museum of Flight? This is your chance! Tour our Collections facility, learn more about the important work they do, and get a special peek at some artifacts in our collection that you wouldn't get to see on exhibit!

Tours are 1hr long. Participants must be able to stand/walk this entire time.
The Collections building does not have an elevator. Please notify us if walking up a flight of stairs will be a problem so that arrangements can be made.
