Beginner Class

Have you ever wondered how 3D printers work? Learn about 3D modeling, the design process, and 3D printing as you design your own luggage tag using Tinkercad. Class is 1.5hrs long and includes a brief overview of 3D printing history, mechanics, and applications, followed by instruction and time to design your luggage tag.* This class is for ages 9 and up; prior computer experience is helpful. Students 13 and younger require a chaperone.

*Projects are not printed during class--they will be available to mail (additional fee) or pick up one week from the date of the class.

Standard Intermediate Class

In our intermediate class, YOU are the designer! You’ll have two hours to design an airplane AND a rocket ship, with Museum of Flight instructors on hand to troubleshoot and give you pointers for a successful 3D print. At the end of class you’ll decide which one (1) of your two designs you’d like us to print for you.* Students in the intermediate class must be at least 12 years old with prior computer experience OR have taken our beginner class. Students 13 and younger require a chaperone.

*Projects are not printed during class--they will be available to mail (additional fee) or pick up one week from the date of the class.

Free Design Class (Intermediate)
