The Museum of Flight chronicles the history of flight, a story of vision and achievement that marks this century as unique in the whole of human history. Our purpose is to increase the knowledge, enjoyment, and self-discovery of flight and to stimulate an interest in science and technology for our visitors.
Overview
We welcome the opportunity to serve the community by allowing special event use of the Museum. As a non-profit foundation, special events help earn operating income, thereby expanding our educational efforts, and they introduce a new audience to The Museum of Flight. Because we are a museum, charged with preserving the integrity of our collection, we ask that our clients and all parties hired by our clients follow the Museum's guidelines for special events.
Make your next business meeting, recognition dinner, wedding or luncheon more exciting by inviting your guests to The Museum of Flight. Not only will your event be held in a one of a kind atmosphere, but all of your guests will be given access to this spectacular collection of artifacts celebrating flight from the Wright Brothers to Mars. Our experienced team is waiting to help make your event a success.
The Museum of Flight has meeting rooms and galleries that can accommodate your event, whatever the size. As one of the largest venues in the Puget Sound area, we are able to help plan and execute your event, whether it is a formal board meeting or a large reception, we have a space that will fit your needs.
The Museum of Flight is not just an event space. We have many opportunities for you to make your event one to remember. Give your guests a thrill ride by renting our flight simulators; make history come alive with special Docent tours or “live” visits from famous aviators of the past or; pit your guests against each other in dog fights in our Aviation Learning Center.
We want your event to exceed all of your expectations. In order to achieve that, we invite you to contact any of our preferred partners to make your event arrangements. Starting with our exclusive caterer, McCormick and Schmick’s, all of our preferred vendors are intimately familiar with the Museum and can help you with all of your plans.
As a world-class air and space museum, our first responsibility is the protection of our artifacts. We ask that you become familiar with our rules and regulations so that we may work together to plan the perfect event.
