Film star to field audience questions after "Top Gun" movie screening

SEATTLE, Oct. 6, 2011--Oct. 15 is Top Gun Day at The Museum of Flight. Activities include photo ops with the Museum's F-14 Tomcat, free Navy pilot call sign badges for kids, Top Gun products and a 1 p.m. screening of the 1986 major motion picture about hot-shot Navy fighter pilots, "Top Gun," followed by a special appearance by internationally known actor Tom Skerritt. Skerritt portrayed "Viper" in the movie, and the celebrated actor is recognized for leading roles in dozens of major Hollywood motion pictures and TV shows since the early 1960s. He will talk about "Top Gun" and field questions from the audience following the movie. The program is part of the Museum's 2011 celebration of the Centennial of Naval Aviation.

The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field half-way between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $16 for adults, $14 for seniors 65 and older, $13 for active military, $9 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5.
