NASA's Mars Science Laboratory launch delayed to Nov. 26, Museum scrubs early opening

SEATTLE, Nov. 21, 2011--The Museum of Flight's Nov. 25 public broadcast of the launch of the NASA Mars Science Laboratory spacecraft has been cancelled because of a recent delay of the launch. The Museum had announced it would open early to allow visitors to see live NASA TV coverage of the event in the Museum's theater. The launch has been delayed one day to allow time for NASA crews to remove and replace a flight termination system battery. The launch is rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 26 from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. The one-hour and 43-minute launch window opens at 7:02 a.m. PST.
