STS-134, last Endeavour flight, scheduled for 12:47 p.m. PDT,

Ballard High School experiment onboard

SEATTLE, April 21, 2011--Weather permitting, the space shuttle Endeavour is scheduled to launch at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., on Friday, April 29 at 12:47 p.m. The Museum of Flight invites visitors to attend the live, NASA television broadcast of the launch in the Museum's Murdock Theater.

This is the last planned launch of Endeavour. The mission will last 14 days, and will be the 36th shuttle mission to the International Space Station. The mission will include an experiment designed by Seattle's Ballard High School Astronomy students. The experiment, chosen by NASA's Student Spaceflight Experiments Program, will help determine how spaceflight affects E. coli bacteria.

The STS-134 crew members are Commander Mark Kelly, Pilot Gregory H. Johnson and Mission Specialists Michael Fincke, Greg Chamitoff, Andrew Feustel and European Space Agency
