Parking lot full with firefighters and big trucks for 15th Annual

King County Fire Department Kids Day

SEATTLE, June 19, 2012--The King County Fire & Life Safety Association is hosting the 15th Annual King County Fire Department Kids Day at the Museum on June 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Museum's Parking Lot turns into a colorful carnival of big trucks and the friendly firefighters who use them. Kids of all ages can view (and climb aboard) the fire equipment on display and meet the men and women who always come to the rescue. Special guests include Smokey the Bear!

Participants include many of the local fire departments and rescue units. Visitors are encouraged meet the men and women who serve them. Kids will have the opportunity to climb aboard a fire engine, see how tall an aerial ladder extends, talk with firefighters and department personnel, and learn fire and life safety skills through fun activities.

The Safety Zone will teach children safety skills, while providing adults

with life-saving information. Free fire fighter caps and badges for the kids.
