Membership Desk Volunteer

If you enjoy meeting people, answering questions and providing directions, the membership desk would be a great fit for you to volunteer with. The museum is open seven days a week and there are two shifts - 9:30 am to 1:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Duties include greeting and checking in Museum Members, promoting Museum Membership to prospective members, process new memberships and renewals, and maintain a neat desk.

Skills desired are excellent customer service, general knowledge of the Museum Membership and levels of membership,exhibits, artifacts, programs and layout. Sales experience and knowledge of data entry is helpful. The workstation is a desk with two chairs. This position requires sitting/standing during the shift. Training will be provided.
