Crew Compartment Access Guide
The Access Guide provides interpretive tours and activities aboard and associated with the Space Trainer Crew Compartment and performs necessary work related to the tour experience and upkeep of the area.
Some of the duties the Access Guide will perform are:
Provide interpretive tours to groups ranging from 2 to 24 persons
Provide quality customer service to visitors, and perform crowd management duties, acting as a ticket taker as needed
Perform daily set-up, take down and cleaning of the exhibit
Develop a complete and thorough understanding of the Crew Compartment and its subsystems
Perform maintenance and administrative tasks as directed
Volunteers must possess strong interpersonal communication, public speaking, and customer service skills; able to quickly master technical systems; be dependable, punctual, and willing to commit to a schedule; self-directed and willing to take initiative
Tours of the trainer will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays at this time. Volunteers are asked to work at least two shifts per month with a year commitment. Training will be provided.
