Private Group Tour
A private Docent tour is complimentary when you book your group at least two weeks in advance of your visit. Tours encompass the Great Gallery and Red Barn, and can be customized to each group's interest and schedule. A typical tour is an hour in length, and leads visitors through the evolution of aviation by examining the aircraft in the Museum's world-class collection, including the famous Blackbird, the only remaining Boeing 80A, and the Aerocar III.
  Special Programs
Public programs and theatrical performances run nearly every weekend. Public programs range from lectures and panel discussions featuring notable aviation and space personalities to visiting aircraft and feature films, with special programs on Memorial Day, Fathers Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day. The Museum's drama troupe, Amazing Skies Theater, performs scripted fifteen minute plays and improvised, living history characters in scenarios related to the Museum's exhibits. Performance times vary, but usually run weekends during the hours of 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. throughout the Museum. A complete calendar of upcoming public programs is available by clicking here.

Guided Student Tours:
Students can sit in the cockpit of a real SR-71 Blackbird or F/A-18 Hornet, explore the most interesting, strange, and amazing aircraft in the Museum's collection, and explore aviation history, science, and technology. With older students (7th grade-college), tours are 1 hour in length and guided by a Docent. Younger students (2nd-6th grades), are given a 15 minute introduction, after which each student receives a specially designed booklet that guides them through a chaperone-led exploration of the Museum's truly remarkable collection. Click here for more Student Tour opportunity information.
Enhanced Student Experiences:
clc   alc
Challenger Learning Center (CLC):
The Challenger Learning Center creates a realistic experience where students take control of a space mission, performing critically timed tasks and real-time decision-making to keep the astronauts safe, the experiments on target, and the whole team in constant communication. One half of the team is in Mission Control while the other is in space - both groups work together to successfully accomplish the goals of the mission.
  Aviation Learning Center (ALC):
The Aviation Learning Center gives students a chance to experience the energy and excitement of aviation. During their time at the Aviation Learning Center, students will develop a flight plan, chart a course from Seattle to Everett, and perform a preflight safety inspection of an actual Cirrus SR20 aircraft. After theycomplete their on-land pilot tasks, students have the opportunity to take the controls of an aircraft in an immersive, simulator environment and virtually fly the routes they charted.
