In Search of Amelia Earhart features many of her original personal artifacts, as well as photos and newsreel footage.

The First Airplane Flight in Washington State

One hundred years ago, on March 11, 1910, American aviator Charles K. Hamilton, known as the “Crazy Man of the Air”, became the first to fly an airplane in Washington State at a site near where the Museum of Flight is today. Learn more about this historic flight in the Museum's lobby.
