The Berlin Airlift—A Legacy of Friendship

In June of 1948, when Berlin was occupied by forces from the main former World War II Allied nations, the Soviet Union declared a blockade of all the ground transport in and out of Berlin.

Find out about the amazing feat carried by western nations to transport food and supplies and keep over 2 million Berliners alive for the 15 months of the blockade.

This traveling exhibit was on display until February 8, 2009.
