Explore the world in miniature during the 2011 NorthWest Scale Modelers Show at the Seattle Museum of Flight. See hundreds of detailed scale model aircraft, cars, tanks, trucks, spacecraft and more at the largest model show in the Pacific Northwest.
This year view models crafted by the Modelers chronicling the history of the North American Aviation T-6 trainer, as well as the out-of-this-world vehicles used to explore the far reaches of space.
And as always, NWSM Club members will be on-hand all weekend. Don’t miss this chance to see them at work on projects and to get the answers to all your questions about the fascinating hobby of plastic scale modeling.
Children age 6 and up are invited to learn the art of modeling during free “Make & Take” model building workshops on Saturday and Sunday. Experts from the NorthWest Scale Modelers will be on hand to help children build a scale aircraft model to take home. A Make & Take workshop hosted by the Skyway Model Shop is set for Saturday, Feb. 19, from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. A second workshop, hosted by Galaxy Hobby, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20. Workshops are first-come, first-serve. Each child should have an adult helper.
