In recognition of the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first celestial observations, 2009 has been designated the International Year of Astronomy. The 100 hours of astronomy is a 100-hour, round-the-clock, round-the-globe event that includes live webcasts from research observatories, public observing events and other activities around the world. The Museum will continue its celebration of the IYA with a lecture from UW Astronomy Professor Dr. Julie Lutz on stellar
