Special Event
Museum of Flight

**Due to a Delta event, parking in our main lot will be limited. Please see the map on our visit page.**

On September 26th and 27th, the Museum of Flight is “Flying it Forward,” offering free flights to girls and young women who have never flown in a small aircraft before (so this excludes airliners, of course). Thanks to the generosity of a volunteer pilots, we are offering a limited number of 15 minute flights from the Museum between 9am and 5pm each day of the event. Passengers must be between 7 and 18 years old and have never flown in a small airplane before. Our pilots are all certified private pilots and flight instructors. The rider and adults accompanying them to the Museum will be offered free admission for the day. Registration is for specific time blocks each day, and precise scheduling will be determined at check in day-of. This event is highly dependent on weather, but the forecast looks great! Register now as space is limited! Also, due to the limited number of seats available, and to ensure the most first flyers get a chance to fly, adults will be unable to accompany their children on the flights. Each aircraft seats between 1 and 3 passengers.

Click HERE to register a first-time female flyer ages 7-18. More registration space will be added as more pilots volunteer for the event.
