Join the Museum May 23rd for the annual Cascade Warbirds Fly-in. Visitors will enjoy the chance to view a wide variety of beautifully restored vintage military aircraft representing several nations' armed forces from World War II through the Vietnam conflict. Operating under the motto "keep 'em flying," the Cascade Warbirds work to preserve history by maintaining and flying historic military aircraft. A wide variety of Liaison, Trainer, Fighter and Bomber aircraft from the last 65 years are expected, Including the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast", which will be offering flights. Other past attendees have included planes such as the North American T-28
Trojan, DeHavilland DHC-1 Chipmunk, Boeing PT-17 Stearman, North American AT-6 / SNJ Texan / Harvard, Cessna O-2 Skymaster, Ryan L-17 Navion, North American P-51 Mustang, Aeronca L-3 Grasshopper, and Douglas AD-4 Skyraider. In addition, the pilot-owners of these planes will be on-hand to answer questions and share their enthusiasm for these vintage Warbirds.
The Cascade Warbirds is an affiliate squadron of the Experimental Aircraft Association Warbirds of America organization.
