Angel Flight West: Providing Help and Hope
When:Saturday, November 9, 2013 -
What:Lecture / Presentation
Location:William M. Allen Theater
On November 9, for the second year in a row, the Museum of Flight will be presenting a program with Angel Flight West, the second-largest volunteer pilot organization in the US (behind the Civil Air Patrol) and one committed to helping people in need. Entering its fourth decade and serving thirteen western states, Angel Flight West provides free non-emergency air transportation for people in rural areas needing to travel to cities for medical treatment, for those in need of disaster relief, for children traveling to special needs camps, for veterans, victims of domestic violence, and more. From their Board of Directors to their numerous volunteers, Angel Flight West combines passion for general aviation with compassion for others, which has resulted in helping thousands of people each year and making a positive difference in their lives.
Join us for an afternoon of various presentations by those involved with the organization. This program is free for Museum members, and free with daily admission to the Museum of Flight.
