57th Fighter Group Program Pre-Event
Time: Saturday, April 20, 2013 - 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Event Type: Public Program
Location: Personal Courage Wing
Join us for this special "pre-event" to the 57th Fighter Group Association's 2:00pm Public Program! At noon in the Quonset Hut in the Personal Courage Wing, historian Carl Molesworth will provide a short introduction to the combat experiences of the 57th Fighter Group in North Africa during World War II. Following this, Museum docent Barry Latter will conduct a guided tour of the Museum's P-40, Spitfire, and ME-109 aircraft--the primary airplanes involved in that theater of operations during that phase of the war. Taken together, these two expertly-led presentations will provide excellent context and detail to enhance the material discussed at the 2:00pm program in the William M. Allen Theater.
This program is free for Museum members and free with daily admission to the Museum of Flight
