Celebrating The B-52

Join us this weekend for events celebrating the B-52 bomber, the longest serving active-duty aircraft in US military history!
On Saturday, events include panel programs with B-52 test pilot and former flight crew members, including those who participated in Operation Linebacker II.
1:00 pm Air America Program with Marius Burke
3:00 pm Operation Linebacker II program with former American POWs.
4:30 Honeywell celebration dinner.

On Sunday, there will be a public program at 11:00 am with author Jim Hoopaw, author of “Tall Tail Tales” and “Where the Buf Fellows Roamed.” Colonel Hooppaw is a retired command pilot with 26 years experience in Strategic Air Command. He flew the B-47E, B-52C, D, E, F, G, and H models. He served as a pilot, instructor, Squadron Commander, and Deputy Commander of Operations of a Bomb Wing, and served three ARC LIGHT tours in Southeast Asia.
Jim will be available afterward to sign books.
These programs are included with admission to the Museum and are free for members of the Museum of Flight.
