Barnstorming the Solar System

Saturday, November 17, 2012 -
2:00pm to 3:30pm
Lecture / Presentation
William M. Allen Theater

From Mercury, the innermost planet, to Pluto and its tiny system of five moons, the Solar System is being explored as never before during the early years of the 21st Century by a large fleet of diverse spacecraft. In some ways it is similar to the "barnstorming" era of early aviation. Solar System Ambassador and Museum of Flight speaker Dr. Ron Hobbs will give a fast-paced overview of the exploratory activity on and around the worlds of the Solar System and provide a preview of some of the upcoming events.

This program is included with Museum admission and is Free for Members of the Museum of Flight.
