Soaring! Flying Sailplanes in the Northwest, and introducing a New Sailplane into the USAF Academy Fleet

The Northwest provides a special environment for the unique aviation experience of soaring flight. Stan Kasprzyk will describe soaring flight and modern sailplanes as well as provide background on a unique Northwest link to the USAF Academy Soaring program. Kasprzyk has over 1,700 total soaring flights in 23 different sailplane types, and is a former USAF Academy cadet soaring instructor.
The RAeS-Seattle Branch will host a social at 6 p.m. offering aviation enthusiasts the opportunity to meet and greet. Coffee and cookies will be served. The lecture begins at 6:45 p.m. The event is free.
