Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
(AIAA) will honor Northwest aerospace luminaries Dr. James Joki and Mr. John Roundhill during the 28th Annual Pathfinder Awards Banquet.
Seating is
limited and by reservation only. Individual tickets start at $100 per
person, patron tickets at $150 and table reservations start at $1,500 per table of 10. To

First
given in 1982, the annual award recognizes individuals with ties to the
Pacific Northwest who have made significant contributions to
aeronautical and astronomical development. Pathfinder Awards can be
given for achievement in any of five different categories of activity:
Flying, engineering, manufacturing, operations or education.
The
Pathfinder awardees are selected by representatives of the Aircraft
Owners and Pilots Association, Air Force Association, Civil Air Patrol,
Federal Aviation Administration, The Museum of Flight, Ninety-Nines,
Navy League, OX-5 Aviation Pioneers, Society of Experimental Test
Pilots, Society of Experimental Test Engineers, University of
Washington, and the Washington State Department of Transportation.
