The Aerospace Camp Experience (ACE) has exciting programs and activities, caring and knowledgeable staff, and a world-class museum to explore. Only with The Museum of Flight can campers launch rockets, create aircraft, experience microgravity, build robots, and pilot actual airplanes. If you have an inquiring mind and want to have fun this summer exploring aviation and aerospace, ACE is the camp for you.

About ACE

The Museum of Flight's Aerospace Camp Experience is an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited day camp for the child who is excited about aerospace and aviation! The Aerospace Camp Experience is the recipient of the ACA Gordie Hamilton Award for Excellence in Camping Programming. For 2014 we have seven different programs: 

  • Solar Travelers half day camp for campers going into grades K - 1   (AM or PM sessions available) 
  • Flight Camp for campers going into grades K - 1
  • Orbital Pioneers for campers going into grades - 3
  • Aerospace Explorers for campers going into grades 4 - 5
  • Planetary Voyagers for campers going into grades 6 - 7
  • Advanced Camp for campers going into grades - 9
  • Counselor Apprentice Program (CAP): a volunteer opportunity for students going into grades 10 - 12

 

Camp Information

Hours

All full day camp sessions run Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Half-day camp sessions run Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (AM Sessions) and 1 p.m. through 4 p.m. (PM Sessions).

Extended Care

Extended Care is available from 7 - 9 a.m.Monday – Friday and 4 - 6 p.m. Monday - Thursday. There is no afternoon Extended Care on Fridays. Campers in extended care are supervised by our Extended Care staff and will play games, read books, draw, color, and participate in other activities. Cost: A.M or P.M. only: $35; A.M. & P.M. - $60

Campers are welcome at ACE regardless of gender, race, national origin, or religious affiliation. Contact the ACE Coordinator concerning campers with special needs or physical restrictions prior to registration. The Museum of Flight strives to accommodate all children within the constraints of our facility and our programs.
