The first 747, the world’s largest civilian aircraft, took only 16 months to build. The 50,000 engineers, administrators, secretaries and construction workers who worked on it were called the “incredibles.”

In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, The Museum of Flight offers a special day for Ben's Friends. Children with autism and their families are invited to join us for an early Museum opening, an additional 10 percent off purchases in the Museum Store and an opportunity to visit exhibits in a sensory-friendly environment. In the J. Elroy McCaw Personal Courage Wing, the Museum will have adjusted lighting and sound to provide the best possible experience for our visitors. The Museum has also invited relevant organizations to host information booths onsite.
