The Museum's emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) helps students meet the objectives of Washington state's curriculum, while making it fun for students to learn. Your gift supports programs that excite more than 150,000 students from around the world each year.
Your gift will support exhibits which showcase the many important artifacts in our collection. Our exhibits take visitors from Kitty Hawk to Mars and beyond.
From the T.A. Wilson Great Gallery and the J. Elroy McCaw Personal Courage Wing to the Kenneth H. Dahlberg Center for Military Aviation History and the Restoration Center, your gift to Museum facilities supports everything from building construction and maintenance to lightbulbs and window washing.
Michael P. Anderson Memorial Aerospace Program
Children ages 10 to 14 participate in the Michael P. Anderson Memorial Aerospace Program at the Museum,and are mentored by aerospace professionals including Alaska Airlines pilots, military aviators, Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), Tuskegee Airmen, and Museum of Flight staff--taking them places and creating dreams many had never before considered.
The Museum's Restoration Center is home to approximately three dozen aircraft in varying states of restoration by the Museum's restorers. Your gift provides the materials and support needed to keep restoration projects running.
Washington Aerospace Scholars (WAS)
WAS is an educational program for high school juniors across Washington state. The WAS program emphasizes STEM, and encourages students to consider careers in these fields. A gift to WAS helps more than 150 students take part in the program.
