Personal Courage Wing

A 58,000 square-foot addition to the museum, the two floors of the Personal Courage Wing contain dramatic, interactive exhibits highlighting twenty-eight stunning World War I and World II fighter planes. The Personal Courage Wing is an utterly unique and exciting reception space for up to 1,000 guests.

The Great Gallery, which includes the Side Gallery, provides an exclusive evening in one of Seattle's most spectacular settings. Dramatically lit at night, the Gallery is a stunning architectural achievement. The six-story tall glass and steel structure gracefully suspends more than 20 full-size aircraft from its ultra-modern frame. Dine among some of the world's most significant airplanes, including a replica of the first Boeing aircraft, the 1916 B&W, a World War II Corsair, and the famous Blackbird spyplane.

The Side Gallery is adjacent to the Museum's Great Gallery. Guests may visit our Apollo space exhibit and the Tower, a full-scale replica of an air traffic control tower. A reception or dinner with dancing allows your guests the opportunity to stroll among the exhibits of the Great Gallery as long as food and beverage remain in the Side Gallery area. Please be aware that event guests from other spaces may also have access to the Great Gallery until 7:00 p.m.

The Red Barn, with its warm wood tones and historic exhibits, reflects the romantic early days of aviation. The two-story barn is the historic birthplace of the Boeing Airplane Company. There is a warmth and a human scale to the simple, turn-of-the-century post-and-beam architecture, while multiple sets of wooden mullioned windows and skylights bring in natural light.

The View Lounge features a black marble wet bar, maroon leather seating group and views of Mt. Rainier and Boeing Field. This room is reached by a long interior balcony overlooking the exhibits in the Great Gallery. The View Lounge may be divided into north and south rooms, creating two convenient areas for meetings and/or socializing.

The Skyline Room, with its burgundy carpet and light wood trim, provides an elegant, contemporary atmosphere for any function. This room includes an exterior balcony, private elevator, and views of Boeing Field and the Seattle skyline.

Adjacent to the Skyline Room, the fully equipped Barnstormer Lounge, with its balcony view of Boeing Field, provides an excellent area for a business lunch, bride's room, a small VIP reception, or an intimate dinner.

The Lockwood Boardroom is an ideal setting for a high profile business meeting. The large inlaid cherry wood table, leather conference chairs, and rear-projection capabilities make for a handsome, professional event.

William M. Allen Theater is perfect for a large audio-visual presentation. Equipped with Dolby® sound capabilities, video or data projection, and 16, 35, and 70mm projection, our Technical Services staff can help make your presentation memorable.

Adjacent to the theater is the Weyerhaeuser Room. Its ground level view of Boeing Field and easy accessibility make it an ideal space for a small reception or dinner All Museum of Flight spaces are in compliance with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.
