The artist behind the exhibit Wood and Canvas: The WWI Aviation Art of Jim Dietz will be at The Museum of Flight for a special early opening and meet and greet reception with Museum Members! The exhibit includes 38 reproductions of Dietz’s vivid paintings of air combat, aviators, and life at the front during the Great War. Each of the fine art prints on display at the Museum blend Dietz’s mastery of details and storytelling. Together they immerse the viewer into the military aviator’s world when war first took to the skies. The book Knights in Canvas: The Aviation Art of James Dietz will be available for purchase and Mr. Dietz will be on hand to sign copies.
