Have you ever wondered how 3D printers work? Learn about 3D modeling, the design process, and 3D printing as you design your own luggage tag using Tinkercad. By the end of class your creation will be ready for printing. This class is for ages 9-12, and all participants must have a chaperone. Class includes an hour and a half of instruction. Interested students are welcome to stay an additional half hour to complete their designs.
In our intermediate class, YOU are the designer! You’ll have two hours to design an airplane AND a rocket ship, with Museum of Flight instructors on hand to troubleshoot and give you pointers for a successful 3D print. At the end of class, you’ll decide which one (1) of your two designs you’d like us to print for you. Students in the intermediate class must be at least 12 years old (14 and younger require a chaperone) with prior computer or CAD experience. You don’t need to take the Beginner class in order to attend the Intermediate class.
All students who complete either class will be able to pick up their prints one week from the date of the class. But hurry, spots will fill up soon! Each class is $10 per participant. Please note, these workshops are for Connections members only.
More class times coming Fall 2018.
