SEATTLE, March 29, 2018--The Museum of Flight joins the global celebration of humanity's past, present, and future in space with a Yuri's Night party on April 14. Yuri's Night at the Museum is a 21+ dance party with music, smarts, tech and arts. The 7-11 p.m. event will offer a cash bar, food trucks and dance music provided by Noise Complaint.

Visitors will be able to meet the event's Space Ambassadors Korean astronaut Soyeon Yi; former NASA Mars rover Flight Director and current head of Planetary Resources strategic development Chris Lewicki; XPrize cofounder Erik Lindbergh; and Blue Origin software engineer Marilyn Ferguson.

Activities will include Mixed-Reality experiences, roaming robots and a contest for the evening's best space-themed attire from fact or fantasy. All of this in Seattle's most celestial place-the Museum's towering space gallery, surrounding the Space Shuttle Trainer, Soyuz spacecraft and today's New Space ventures.

Admission is $35 General, $30 Museum Members and includes one drink ticket. Additional food and drink will be available for purchase. Advance purchase recommended.

Yuri's Night parties and events are held around the world every April in commemoration of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to venture into space on April 12, 1961, and the inaugural launch of the first Space Shuttle on April 12, 1981.

Yuri's Night at The Museum of Flight is sponsored by

Spaceflight Industries, Microsoft, C89.5, Ninkasi, Elysian, Fremont Mischief Distillery, Essentia Water and Lyft.
