Free Museum admission for U.S. veterans, current U.S. military on Nov. 11

SEATTLE, Oct. 22, 2010--The Museum recognizes the contributions of America's veterans at the annual Veterans Day Ceremony. This year's guest speaker is retired U.S. Air Force Col. Chuck DeBellevue, who is recognized for his six aerial combat victories during the Vietnam War. The Veterans Day events begin with an hour of patriotic music by the Boeing Employees' Concert Band beginning at noon. The ceremony starts at 1 p.m., and features the University of Washington Air Force ROTC color guard. A group of "Rosie the Riveters," women who helped build combat aircraft during World War II, will attend the ceremony and be recognized for their service to the War effort. There will also special programs for youth, adults and families. On Veterans Day all U.S. veterans and current U.S. military personnel will be admitted to the Museum free of charge. An autograph session immediately follows the ceremony.
