SEATTLE, Dec. 6, 2011--Saturday, Dec. 10 marks the public opening of the Museum's new Space Gallery. To celebrate, there will be space-related videos, family programs and speaker programs in the Gallery and in the Museum's main building all day. The dramatic new Space Gallery will be the future home of the NASA space shuttle Full Fuselage Trainer and entirely new exhibits devoted to the history and future of human space flight. The building opens with displays previewing the attractions that will fill the Gallery beginning in summer 2012.
All events are free with admission to the Museum. And as a holiday treat, the Museum is partnering with the Northwest Harvest food bank to offer half-price admission to Museum visitors who bring a non-perishable food item to the Museum on Saturday, Dec. 10.
