Visitors crossing the T. Evans Wyckoff Memorial Bridge are immersed in a unique and pleasurable acoustic experience as they walk along the “aviation-like structure.” Commissioned by the Museum and created by local interdisciplinary artist and musician Paul Rucker, Trails of Vapor is a collection of sounds from milestone events in the history of aviation and space exploration and popular aviation-themed music broadcasted by speakers strategically placed along the length of the bridge.

While walking across the bridge, visitors can also read and learn about local historical events and landmarks in the neighborhood of the Museum—The Boeing Company to the north, King County International Airport (Boeing Field) to the east, the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to the south, and Mount Rainier to the southeast.
